Advantages of Using LED Lights

Lights, considered as essential features of every architectural locale which when properly applied and installed can inspire the way you live.  Home lighting is designed to produce an ambience of relaxation, inspiration and harmony.  If ever you’re still a big fan of compact fluorescent and/or typical incandescent light bulb, you might want to try LED lights.

LEDs [Light Emitting Diodes] have been around for many years.  They come in various shapes [candelabra, pear, bulged, candle, LED strip lighting, etc.], sizes and color hues to suit any requirement that every homeowner has.  Below are only a few advantages of choosing LED lights over incandescent light bulbs, compact fluorescent lamps and luminaire fixtures:

1. Environmentally friendly

These days when everyone wants to help in saving planet earth, LED lights give you the chance to contribute a little lot.  For one, LEDs only use low watts of electricity making it obviously energy efficient.  The lower the energy consumption – the better.  It’s toxic- and mercury-free thus a plus for the environment.

2. Helps to save you money

Although quite more expensive compared to the ordinary light bulbs and fluorescent lamps, because it utilizes a lower amount of energy it helps homeowners save money in the long run.

3. Easy installation process

One doesn’t have to be a genius to install LED lights.  Setting up, for example, LED strip lights under kitchen cabinets or in the back of big wall mirrors [and absolutely anywhere!] add extra accent minus the huge fuss.  Of course, if you’re not at all that handy when it comes to working voltage connections, I suggest you ask someone to do it for you.

4.] Cool and durable

LED lights are proven to not result to heat build-up.  They don’t have filaments unlike ordinary lamps – the reason behind why LED lights are durable enough to endure shock, vibration and sudden electrical changes.

How about you?  Do you use LED lights in your home?  If so, where?  If no, will be you trying them anytime soon?
