Valentine’s Day is on the horizon, and in the spirit of my new year’s resolution to be more organized, I have started to think of romantic gift ideas for my other half. I’ve already spent quite a lot of time searching the web and browsing the shops and have come up with the following ideas so far. Whether you are buying for your husband, wife, girlfriend or boyfriend, I hope these ideas give you some inspiration for your own Valentine’s gift hunting. So, let the hunting begin:
1. A foodie hamper
If your other half is a proper foodie, they may appreciate a hamper bursting with their favorite ingredients and some surprise items. I gave a cheese and wine basket to a friend this Christmas and it was not only a hit, it was really fun to put together. In terms of some faithful hamper filler suggestions, why not include some chocolates and a lovely bottle of wine. However, you can be as creative as you like and add anything that you think your loved one would appreciate. If your other half isn’t a foodie, have a look online for other gift hamper ideas.
2. An at home spa experience
Most of us are still feeling the financial burn post-Christmas. Without further crippling your finances further on that expensive spa voucher, why not bring the spa to your other half. Surprise them by filling up with tub with warm water, bubbles and bath fizzers. Scatter some petals on the surface, put on some relaxing music and light some scented candles for an added romantic effect. You may also want to offer a back massage to your other half, so they really feel like they are being pampered.
3. An engraved or personalized gift
If you want to share a personal message with your loved one this year, you may like the idea of giving them and engraved or other form of personalized gift. Many items can be personalized with a message for your other half, or simply with their name. Scarves, bags, pillows, are just a few examples. 4. A framed photo
I love playing around with photos and giving them as gifts to my family and friend. They make really personal and meaningful gifts. There are so many free photo editing softwares available these days that allow you to do amazingly creative things with images. Do you have a lovely photo of you and your other half? Why not spend some time tinkering with it; adding a black and white effect, for example? When presented in a beautiful frame, this could make a perfect gift for a romantic and house proud other half.
These are just some of my romantic Valentine gift ideas. If you have some of your own ideas, please feel free to share. I wish you luck finding the perfect gift for your other half, and I wish you both a romantic Valentine’s day.
