Did you realise how hard buying a property was in 2015? It really can bring prospective property owners back to earth with a bang. There has been a lot of change in the property market over the years so you might be out of your depth, especially if the last time you dealt with property was twenty years ago. You want to make the process as easy as possible. It doesn’t matter whether you are a first time buyer or you are looking to make a quick profit, the easier the better.Photo source: flickr
In the interest of ease, here are four reasons why you should buy a furnished property.
● It’s A Money Saver
Whichever party is involved is bound to save money. If you are the landlord and property owner you don’t have to buy new furniture, as long as the previous furniture is liveable. And, if you are tenant then you have the option to keep the furniture depending on your financial status. As a tenants you might want to change the entire style of the property but you can't because you can’t afford it. If that's the case, you don’t have to sit on bean bag chairs and eat from your bedroom!
●● Properties Move Quicker
Let’s face it; as a tenant you want to be able to move in straight away without any hassle or complications. Furnished properties are great for this because you don’t have to worry about the process of finding furniture. It is incredibly time consuming and requires a lot of effort. If you are a tenant, that is the last thing you want.
On the other side of the coin landlords who buy furnished property can rent them or sell quicker than unfurnished properties. More and more tenants are looking for furnished properties for obvious reasons, so you are bound to do better if you offer them what you want.
A great example is furnished apartment rentals. These properties move far quicker on the market than any other property for one main reason; they are full of furniture.
●●● Reusable
This reason is just for the landlords; you can reuse the furniture again and again. Because you own the furniture, you keep it once the tenancy agreement ends so you can offer to different, potential tenants. Or, if you take a fancy to the furniture you can remove it from the property and use it for yourself, or swap it with other furniture.
As a landlord, you have a lot of options available to you when you buy a property that already has furniture.
●●●● Flexibility
One for the tenants; you have a lot of flexibility when you move into a furnished property. From the tenant’s point of view, you haven’t invested much in the property, so you are free to move on if and when you choose. Once the contract is up, you are free to renegotiate or look elsewhere. You have no financial ties, all you need to do is find another property with furniture that is ready to go!
When it comes to property that is furnished, it is the way to go regardless of whether you are the tenant or the landlord.
