Top 5 Bathroom Pampering Tips
Friday, May 18, 2018
For many of us, the bathroom is an oasis, a place where we can relax and pamper ourselves without being disturbed [unless you have kids or pets, then that’s a whole different story]. So, how does one go about turning their bathroom into their own personal oasis? The first thing to do is find a time when there is not likely to be a lot of people around, such as after the kids go to bed. Next, put on some music that will help you to relax. Lock yourself in the bathroom, light some scented candles, and then use the following steps to give yourself an at-home spa experience.
Draw a Hot Bath
Once you are all alone and have your favorite music on, draw a nice, hot bath, using bath salts, bath oils, or anything that you like that will leave your skin soft and silky, and provide an easy aromatherapy experience. Slip into the tub up to your ears, and lay there relaxing and enjoying the scents. Forget about the stresses of the day, and just enjoy the experience.

Scrub Away Dead Skin
The next step is to use a pouf or a loofah to get rid of any dead skin cells. Use a quality body wash, or even better, choose from one of many ring body scrubs. Not only will you get rid of those dead skin cells, you will be rewarded with a beautiful ring to wear after you are finished pampering yourself. These rings can range in value from $20 up to $2,000.
Shampoo Your Hair
Once you have taken care of your skin, it is time to take care of your hair. Choose a quality shampoo, followed by a conditioner that you can leave in for up to 30 minutes. Once the conditioner is in, lay back, and keep on relaxing. If you want to get a really deep conditioning, wrap your hair in a towel after applying the conditioner. After 20-30 minutes, rinse your hair.
Towel Off
You can pamper your skin while you are drying off. Before you are completely dry, apply some body lotion all over, except for your face, where you’ll use a lotion that is meant for sensitive facial skin. You can also apply a body oil at this time, either scented or unscented. If you choose scented, opt for a scent that works with your body lotion.
Moisturize
The final bathroom pampering step is to complete moisturizing process. You’ve already used body lotion and possibly body oil. It’s best to use a moisturizer that contains alpha hydroxyl acids, as well as antioxidants, which will help to keep your skin nice and clear. Look for formulas that are made with witch hazel, green tea, and aloe vera.
You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to use these bathroom tips. As long as you can get 30 minutes to an hour to yourself each evening, you can start pampering yourself on a regular basis. Don’t forget your daily moisturizing routine for a long-term effect and to keep your skin soft and supple, even on the days when you don’t have time to pamper yourself.
